Wallet funds disappeared

£10 from my Xbox wallet has disappeared. It was gifted to me by Xbox because I owned the Call of Duty WW2 season pass. I was saving it for a new release to take some money off full price. I'm not sure when it was taken but I only just realised today. I've
checked my account and no purchases have been made using the money in the wallet, only by my card. It didn't expire until April next year either. Any help or solution would be appreciated. Thank you

Microsoft Wallet funds

It depends on which payment method you chose when pre-ordering that game. If you used the Microsoft account balance the money is taken instantly, and if you chose your bank account it will take the money about ~10 days before the game releases.

Check this page to see if the pre-order was indeed cancelled:

And if it was, and no money was taken out, and that says the pre-order was cancelled, you will need to pre-order again or wait until the game comes out.

Microsoft Wallet funds

I have pre-ordered Battlefield V via the Xbox Store, I have just added the money to my Microsoft account via xbox, will Microsoft take the money from my account balance first or will they take the money from my bank first?

I did just try and speak to Xbox Support, but there was a language barrier ( I speak English he did not ) and he tried to cancel my pre-order then proceeded to tell me to wait until the game comes out, neither are what I asked him, hence why I am here.

I only ask this as I have always purchased games via my bank account, but the misses got me just over £200 on Xbox funds, some I have already purchased COD 4 with and RDR 4 but I pre-ordered BF5 before I had these funds on my account, so this part is new
to me.

Any help would be very grateful.

You can use gift card funds for Crew. It just didn't show up for me because I had nothing in the wallet. Once you have wallet funds, it becomes an option.

The credits you posted would be scheduled to be deposited on the 15th of this month.

Is it normal for the funds to appear in my wallet and then disappear? I originally spoke to live support and they recommended i create this post here and they will get back in touch with me within 24hrs so hopefully i'll hear something later today.

And taking your information on board, maybe it'll appear back in my microsoft wallet on or just after the 15th of this month

Thank you for your reply, I wish I had seen this one before following what Chiefjoboo said.

I had it pre-ordered for £63 but Chiefjoboo said they would take it from my bank first as that is what I put when pre-ordering as I had no funds on my wallet then, so I cancelled the order then had to pay £71.99 and use the funds on my wallet.

Well serves me right for not waiting for more replies, you live and you learn lol.

EDIT : I did try and change the payment option, but my MS Account Balance is not one of the choices, which I find strange, its either add a new card or paypal only, not Account funds. Would be great to add that option if changes to payment method are needed.

They will use funds on your MS account first, then your bank account for any remaining balance 😀
