    Wake on LAN not working


    Hello, hope you're having a nice day!

    I have my xbox one (limited halo 5 edition) on "instant-on" modus. Problem I'm having is that my xbox does not boot when I try to do it via the xbox app (power on button in the program) or via a specific button in my router which is called "start computer".

    My brother on the other hand also has one of these routers and can start his xbox one the way it should.

    Are there any other settings I might be missing? Xbox One has a static IP which is known in the xbox app, and it's on "instant-on" modus. It's connected via a network cable.

    How to configure wake on lan

    Hi,

    I am trying to turn my xbox on over the network (Wake on LAN). There is alot of talk about this, but i havent found a good post on how to configure the xbox one to work with this properly. I test it using this CLI tool: arcreative/xbox-on

    It seems to work when the xbox is sleep mode after it has been on shortly before. When the xbox has been in sleep mode for a longer period of time the tool is not working anymore.

    Can you assist me in how i should configure the xbox one so wake on lan works all the time?

    Update:

    It seems to work for a little while after I turned it off (if i turn it off and press the "turn on" button in the xbox app 30 seconds later). But it does not work when the xbox hasn't been recently powered off.

    Anyone have an idea?

    Have you figured it out? I have the exact same issue. I also have the Halo 5: Guardians limited edition Xbox One and I can't turn it on via Smartglass or the Xbox app if it has been off for longer than a few minutes. Yesterday I spent 6 hours with Microsoft
    representatives trying to figure out what was wrong, but they have no idea. Every other device I own that supports Wake on LAN works except my limited edition Xbox (which is sad because I paid $200 more for it while my friend's plain Xbox he bought for $300
    works just fine). I hope they resolve this issue soon. I'm sorry I don't have a solution for you. If you figured it out. Please let me know.
