W10 Xbox App Perpetually Restarts

Recently moved back over from Windows 11 to Windows 10 (clean install) and the xbox app no longer works correctly.

I haven't had an issue out of the app pretty much ever, but now I open the app, it stays open long enough to start loading all of the images etc. and then the process just dies and starts right back up, and it just continuously does this until I either X out of the app or kill the process via task manager.

I have looked into event viewer and only see a dcom error complaining about local activation permission.

I have tried repairing the app, resetting it, uninstalling/reinstalling it, and even another clean install of W10, but the issue persists.

21H2 Education, Ryzen 9 3900x, 32GB Ram, MSI B550 Tomahawk, RTX 3060 for reference.

Prior to being on W11 I was on W10 20H2.

Anyone experience this before or have any ideas on how to fix it?

I assume you've made sure it's updated to its latest version. Do you have the Game Bar and Gaming services downloaded?

The connection works fine both on discord and the Xbox app, just the console is stuck in a perpetual “relink account” cycle

UPDATE - Signed out and back into W10 Xbox app and I am now able to access messages

So, are you playing the game from your pc (installed) or using the windows app (Xbox w10)?

You are showing as last seen at present, i think this is the windows 10 xbox app casuing the issue here, i think this means when you use the xbox app on W10 even when you close the W10 xbox screen it sort of just goes into offline mode, you would need to
close the app actually by stopping it via the task manager manually via pressing these keys together....Ctrl Alt Delete then finding the xbox app and stopping it.
