W10 Minecraft Crashes when attempting to access Inventory or Chest

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. Do other players in your realm experience the same crash when attempting to access inventory of some kind? If you access someone else's realm, do you experience the same crash?

Are you able to try this on a different Windows 10 PC by any chance?

have you attempted to uninstall minecraft w10 edition and reinstall it and see if it works?

I have the same problem when playing split screen. I can't access inventory, but my second player can. I did find that you can use a chest and that inventory works fine. Hopefully they will fix this soon. Makes it hard to play split screen.

Having the same issue with the game crashing after the end of round chest. As stated above this makes the game unplayable as it puts you in a crash loop- every time you load the character it takes you to the same end of round screen and subsequent crash. This has happened 4 times for us and the only thing we could do was clone the character and load again (this will keep your level and mission unlocks but erases your inventory, emeralds and gold, leaving your character with only what they had “in-hand” during the last mission). Obviously not an ideal solution.

The above workaround does not work. This bug is beyond frustrating.

UPDATE - Someone on the Minecraft Dungeons Discord suggested that having a full inventory when unlocking the end-of-round chest could be one cause of this. If this is the case and you have MCD on Switch you can try going into Minecraft Dungeons on PC (if you have a copy or know someone who does), Sign in to the Microsoft account tied to your Nintendo switch that has this bug. Then download that character that has the issue. And lastly, edit that game save

UPDATE 04/12/22 - WORKAROUND FOUND - This bug seems to occur when your inventory fills and the game tries to gift you an item from the end of round chest. To get around this:

1.Create a new character

2.Begin the game

3.In Camp invite a player

4.Choose the bugged character

5.Once loaded salvage inventory items to free up space

6.Quit to the main menu

7.Select the bugged character and begin game

8.The character should now load correctly

Anyone have an issue where your minecraft game goes offline and your friends get kicked from the game that your hosting and then when you restart the game everyone who was in that game looses all their items in their chest and inventory?
