Vudu Dolby Atmos Xbox One S

I know Xbox one doesn't support Dolby Atmos yet...But I am apart of the preview program and have the bitstream from Blu-ray to AV receiver and was wondering if I buy or rent a movie off of Vudu (only place I know that has streaming Atmos movies) will it
stream Atmos or not. Also if that isn't the case shouldnt that be removed from the Vudu app seeing as how it isn't supported. I have a very nice Klipsch setup and don't want to go out and buy 4k Blu-ray and what not.

Xbox One S and Dolby Atmos

I am having an issue with playing playing Blu-Ray disks on my Xbox one S. The Dolby Atmos will not pass through. I have the settings enabled on the xbox and my AVR supports Atmos. The Dolby access app and VUDU both play Atmos just fine. I have the UHD
dvd that has 4K and Atmos, but it will not work. Any advice?

Blu ray App Won't Output Dolby Atmos

The built in blu ray player won't output dolby atmos to an atmos system, only dolby true-hd.

For some background info: my Xbox one s is being fed into my Onkyo Tx-NR575, and then using arc into my tv. Also, my floor speakers are bi-amped. I've used the Dolby access app to set up Dolby atmos and have been able to use the demos, which sound phenomenal.
My avr displays that it is decoding Dolby atmos when using the demos, when the Xbox is at the home screen, and even when I use Netflix or Vudu to watch content. So I can watch John Wick 2 via vudu with Dolby atmos, but when I use the blu ray player app it
only gives me Dolby True-HD. Is this just a bug or is this a known problem? I know that the avr wouldn't decode Dolby atmos if there were not height channels, but as my floor speakers are bi-amped, it should remove that possibility. Any ideas on how to fix
it?

My question above was simply: 'does the XBOX One S have simulation capabilities for simulating ATMOS sound from a 5.1 or 7.1 surround input'? My system is functioning fine. I only ask because I tried setting the XBOX to ATMOS out with a 5.1 Dolby input
from VUDU and my receiver displayed that I was receiving an ATMOS signal from the XBOX. I am using all highspeed 4k capable HDMI cables on all inputs and outputs.

I can confirm this bug with the Dolby Atmos app.

My setup: Denon X4200W receiver with Xbox One S.

Atmos works fine in the Dolby Atmos app, Blu-Ray and Netflix (the movie Okja is the only Atmos movie on Netflix). All other Netflix videos and Xbox apps default back to 2.0 down mix as posted above.

This is Xbox One specific, and relates to how Dolby Atmos capabilities via Home Cinema amps. They have been compromised by the fact that the Dolby Atmos app version has not kept up with the firmware of numerous current amps from multiple brands.

Since August, it changed from outputting Atmos signals as "Atmos" to to generic "multi Ch in".

Like many others, I mailed Denon, and it is an issue relating to the MAT container embedded in the Dolby Atmos app. We collectively need a definitive answer on when Microsoft and/or Dolby intends to upgrade to 1.6?

The full quite of the Denon explanation is below:

"Dolby Atmos version is changed from “Dolby Harmony 1.3” to “Dolby Home Audio 1.6” via U21 Update. The Dolby Home Audio 1.6 includes the “Dolby MAT signaling” feature that detecting the channel based PCM signal contained into the Dolby MAT Container.
And, major player which contains the PCM signal into Dolby MAT container is only XBOX One S and XBOX One X, currently. With new Dolby Atmos version 1.6, specific processing of source (XBOX) is needed. This is now the problem: Xbox did not implement this processing
