VUDU APP NEEDS AN UPDATE!!

Alright this has been a long time coming. I was hoping the Vudu app on Xbox One would have been updated by now but it hasn't. In fact I feel it has been ignored by Xbox live and Microsoft for some time now. I've already spoken to Vudu support about
this and they say any updates are in Xbox live and Microsoft's court. The app itself hasn't seen a UI update since the console came out. It continually crashes and is just miles behind the xbox 360 app or any other version of the app for that
matter. I feel the Xbox One app is the worst version across all devices's. I can only assume this is done on purpose to steer people towards the Xbox movies app...which has burned me one too many times for me to actively go back to...ie. lost purchases, higher
prices etc. I would like to see the Vudu app updated on Xbox One to at least allow for easier navigation of our purchased content. Also better streaming would be a plus considering 4k is one the horizon. If the app is not updated in the next year
I'll be choosing another option for my movie viewing...and it won't be Xbox video.

Vudu App connection timeout for at least 5 days straight

Sadly, Vudu is fully under the control of Vudu themselves. After having gone rounds and rounds with them about the previous version of the app, it became apparent that they didn't really care about making the app work. Let's hope that this has changed with
the update.

Is there any way for you guys (x box) to update the vudu app? or is that done by them?

App updates and changes are on the app developer's end. I recommend reaching out to Vudu and providing your feedback to them.

I've gone rounds with Vudu support before and what it really comes down to is that they paid somebody else to create the app for them (this was
not Microsoft) and so they take no responsibility for the app, it's errors, or it's upkeep. Microsoft did not build, design, or have anything else to do with this app so will not and cannot do anything to maintain or update it. Vudu simply doesn't
care if it works right or not.

Might need to take this to the feedback or support... sounds like it is a 100% Vudu issue then...

I have the black screen of death on two separate Xboxes in the house, but vudu app appears to work out my Windows 11 desktop. Pretty sure Vudu just needs to address their app.

If the Vudu app is still available on Xbox 360, you should be able to access Movies Anywhere through it. You just need to have your Vudu account synced with Movies Anywhere.
