Vudu and Amazon Video having problems since the New Xbox One Update. "Judder" or ...

I've been experiencing the same thing over the past few days ( live video streams or recorded video streams stutters and then eventually stops as audio continues, screen sometimes goes blank (green), stuttering video looks like it's skips frames forwards
and backwards in a loop ). The same problem has occurred in these apps : Amazon Instant Video, YouTube, CBS News, and ABC News. I could have checked other apps, but what's the point? It's got to be affecting all video apps I'm sure. I checked both full screen
and Snap video for all these apps and the problem is the same.

XBox Live on the XBox One has been a terrible experience for me over the past year or two. This is just the latest problem. One buys a game console or set-top box to get AWAY FROM this troubleshooting nonsense.

Just applied the latest update, and as TopCow says(who had the preview, I'm not in the preview program) it didn't fix a thing.

Saw there was a update so installed it, still no difference it's getting really annoying now, haven't got amazon prime video on anything else so I'm a bit stuck. If Microsoft want to send me a roku 3 so I can watch all my programmes please do! Hardly stutters
on 720p but really bad on 1080p!

I gave up guys. I bought a Roku 2. Flawless and faster than my Xbox One even if the Xbox One was working like it should with no video stutter. Won't be going back to Xbox One to play any video anymore, just gaming, until they screw that up somehow too.

My vudu app plays 5 min them shuts down. We spent all that money on a machine that doesn't even do what is supposed to do half the time. I'm so sick of Microsoft and the way that they rip everybody off. They stole $400 dollars off me when we were able to
purchase music videos. Now the videos are gone with my money. On top of all that, we can't even download our purchased movies from Microsoft onto the one like we could on 360. I'm posting this to ask everyone to boycott Microsoft movies and groove and from
purchasing gold. The free games with gold is also a lie. You have to stay gold in order to play them or outright purchase them. Let's all stand up to these lying assume thieves.

we went and got an apple tv, plays perfectly. I wish MS would have fixed this issue. It happens on nearly every video app besides netflix.

I just watched a movie tonight on Movies & TV app and the stuttering is gone! i'm on the latest beta program. So happy, hopefully it continues this way.

I'm having the same problem, Vudu and Amazon Video app seem to be the ones affected. I had similar choppy video problems when the Xbox One first came out although it was more widespread and affected all streaming video including Blu-ray playback. It was
fixed eventually with an update, not sure when. I agree, it began after the new Xbox One Experience update. Based on the above link it seems to be a known issue that will get fixed in a future update hopefully. I think its important for people to chime in
so that Xbox is made aware of the problem. The troubleshooting provided on xbox.com does NOT fix this problem.

To receive hdr on the epson 5040 navigate on the Xbox one s to settings>>>display and sound>>>video output>>>advanced video settings>>>and select the item "allow YCC 4:2:2" which should place a check in the block. This enables the proper chroma sub sampling
that enables hdr on the epson 5040. If you do not have this option you must update your Xbox one s to the latest version which is 10.0.15063.1003 which was released on 3/21/17. It works only with 4K blu ray and not through apps such as Vudu, Netflix and Amazon

Are there any plans to further update the firmware to be able to process streaming apps such as Vudu, Netflix and Amazon?

Thanks for the responses all. I've reinstalled the apps multiple times, no effect. I also tried all the usual fixes, restart the router/modem, I even switched routers to see if it was my router being one that has an issue with the xbox update(I have heard
there were some..) from my netgear to a Linksys, but the issue was still there. That made it clear to me/confirmed to me that while yes these are app specific issues, that since they are similar issues across similar video streaming apps(I now notice on Hulu
as well in addition to Amazon Video and Vudu, but not Netflix and youtube oddly enough) that it is a xbox problem even more so, especially since they all started after this update to xbox..
