Vudu and Amazon Video having problems since the New Xbox One Update. "Judder" or ...

Bump again as there are now more people posting threads on this in this forum, keep posting people, this is ridiculous that they have not fixed this yet!! I've never considered buying a PS4 but I am now..

 

I'm having the same problem, and it is driving me crazy! I bought the Xbox One primarily as a media device, but with this stuttering issue I find myself having to use my other devices for watching streaming video. My 4 year old Sony Blu-ray player, PS3,
and Amazon Fire TV stick all can stream video smoothly, without a hint of this issue. I don't see why the xbox shouldn't be able to handle this, since it is much more powerful than all of those devices.

I hope this is fixed soon. In the interim I guess I will use other devices for consuming streaming video.

 

Yup this problem affects almost all video apps other than Netflix. Even Microsoft's own Movies & TV app is affected.

 

New update is dropping today for Xbox One I believe.. at work now so crossing my fingers but not holding my breath that this will add any fix for this issue when I get home and download the update. I say that because Mike Ybarra with Xbox/Microsoft didn't
mention anything else about this video issue in the update notes I read..though he apparently made some statement several weeks ago about knowing about the problem? But maybe they were only going into the "new"(or rather old features, just being brought
back) features and not "fixes" in the update details they released. Sigh.

I just updated and tried Amazon, and I can also confirm that this update didn't fix the stuttering issue.

 

Yep I have had this problem ever since the NXOE and it is a massive pain (and rather embarrassing when people come round to watch movies) when ever we are renting movies form the MS Store or even Plex. You would think that this would be top of MS's list
but obviously not as it keeps getting left behind.

Its a shame because I wanted one device that did everything, which the Xbox nearly does, but now i might have to get another TV streaming device.

That's been my thought on this, Moof. Why is this not a higher priority for them.. I don't know if PS4 users get the same kind of blase' attitude about fixing problems that we seem to be getting, but I sometimes wonder if the grass is greener over there..
I have too much time invested in my xbox across the years and different consoles so I almost feel they've "got me", but my faith has in the xbox has really been shaken by this.

Can't believe this has not been fixed yet but really glad to see it's not just me. Hoped to use my Xbox One as a hub for all streaming apps but this glitch makes it useless. Was better off streaming through my TV. Messed up that Microsoft are taking so long
to fix this.

 

Add Netflix to the list.... also with the stuttering there is a green screen with only audio.

 

I can also confirm that the February update did not fix the problem. Super annoying, having to use the built in apps on my Vizio for watching video, which is rediculous. Microsoft, please fix!

 

March update also did not fix the problem, i heard they were shooting for March to fix this issue but no dice so far.
