VR for XBox

What do you guys think? VR for a short while was all the rage and PS4 brought it out but the games library is...meh...at best. Do you think MS should try their hand at VR, or stick to what they know works? Gotta admit, VR Halo would be sick!

Nothing has changed if you liked xbox in the past with out vR then that is still the case so microsoft not doing VR shouldnt make any differnce too you. However that said just because there not doing anything for VR right now doesnyt mean that they wont
in the furtre. I cant see xbox ever making a VR headset but what i can see is a xbox app on other VR headsets that will let you plkay your xbox games some with VR patches.

 

Need VR to Xbox 360 Also with VR games !

Please Request to Microsoft that there should be VR box and VR games For Xbox 360 !

 

I think this would be a cool idea. Rumor has it they are doing something with the newer version of the hollow lens project and maybe the next generation console

 

Microsoft has already stated they've decided not to bring VR to the console. They were working on trying to work with other companies to bring it to the console, but it never panned out. They're doing a pretty good job of it with the PC though. I don't think
it would take off for the console very well though.

 

I would be really interested to learn more about the Hollow Lens project, I've heard a handful of different things but it certainly sounds interesting. Was that based in Augmented Reality?

 

Can't argue there, VR on PC seems like its evolving but at a slower pace. I have high hopes for the future honestly.

 

VR is not there yet it is lame on PS4 to say the least I spent $350 and what a waste of money...

 

Personally I think MS should keep VR away from Xbox, for now, once the technology gets to a point where we can have a fully immersive experience with VR with in games like Halo instead of the VR feeling like a sales gimmick, then VR should come to Xbox.

 

It would be good. Microsoft is basically the only major game platform without it.

But I believe they said they weren't pursing it. I have the Oculus already as well. So idk if I would even consider getting it.

 

IMO VR is a fad just like 3D was , how many manufacturers still make 3d TVs??,

Games companies shall still look after their majority audience gamers who prefer to sit down in front of the TV to play a few hours a day/week

 

I think it would be a great idea and I'm confident Microsoft has the resources and R&D to do it. I'm sure we'll see something VR in the future.

I was hoping for some VR support at least on the Xbox One X but it's not to be contrary to what was hinted at.

However is it a great loss ? Maybe not, my original concern was that any VR addon for the Xbox would end up as another Kinect fiasco where the support was to say the least not so good and we all know how the Kinect ended up.

Sony seem to be doing OK with their PSVR, 3 million units sold and around 21 million software titles to date sold. Not great figures but not so bad either. I enjoy my PSVR greatly, ok so the graphics aren't perfect but my god the sense of immersion is fantastic.

A major sticking point in my opinion is wires, people in general don't like wires, if at some point a totally wireless affordable VR headset becomes available with a minimum of 1080p resolution then maybe just maybe their will be a case to look at adding
support on the next gen Xbox.

A problem with VR is it's not for everyone, I personally have no issues with motion sickness etc and have immense fun whirling around in the VR worlds, whereas others suffer greatly and for those people VR will never be a viable option.

It all comes down to figures I guess, how much money is to be made, is VR worth the investment, what if it fails and becomes another Kinect failure ?

Fingers crossed for VR support on Xbox but I'm not holding my breath, perhaps next gen who knows, most people don't really care as VR is a pretty niche market right now.

 

MS and Nintendo, but Nintendo isn't that surprising considering that their current gen hardware isn't capable of supporting it. MS I think could do it right but only if they were careful and measured in their approach.

 

I think VR is not a good Idea, the price is very expansive, at least where I live and its graphics is not so good, at least on PS4.
