Voting on games with gold

I think it would be cool if xbox members could vote for the free game for games with gold. I think that black ops would be a good one to vote for. Tell me what you think and what games you would like to see for games with gold.

That would be a great idea, unfortunately I think everyone would want the brand new games. I like games with gold cause it gives me a chance to play games that I had little interest in or didn't want to pay retail for.

You can always post at Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice for what games you want, but ultimately I think it comes down to what games publishers will allow Microsoft to post for free.

 

There is a sticky thread regarding Games with Gold at the top of this section. Anything regarding 'Games with Gold' should be posted in there in the future.

 

Sounds like a good idea, better yet give us an option to vote for one of three games and let the community choose what they would like.

I hope they keep giving out some pretty cool arcades. I thought Toy Soldiers was actually a pretty fun game.

 

Great idea...but

The 40% of people whose vote didn't win would then HATE microsoft for not giving them the free game that they wanted. It would be followed up by several threads a day about people who had so much faith in microsoft, but they just don't know if they can
take it anymore. They are now going to buy a playstation because they didn't get the game they wanted......

 

Cool idea but Microsoft would never do it.

 

Not sure if it happens in the US but the EU PS Blog team do a genre vote occasionally for the Plus games, that usually works out pretty well, something similar might work for GwG rather than asking for specific titles.

 

@CODukes -- That already happens now! I don't know how MS "picks" which games are free for that specific month, if they need to consult the game's publisher, so it's difficult to think they could allow for voting on the free game(s). I don't think they
just randomly pick 2 games which will be free for that month.

 

Yeah they wont allow us to choose what games we want. As long as it's a game I don't have and it's a game I want, I will be happy about it. Free is free.
