    We have the Xbox One for about 2 years. The sound no longer works, I bought a new HDMI cable and that is not solving the issue. It worked on our TV, no settings have been changed, any suggestions?

    HBO go volume

    Ya on 360 its ridiculously low. It's fine on PS3 though.

    Volume

    Give the console a
    power cycle    , first. That usually clears up most strange system behavior.

    If there's still no sound, then let's go to the
    audio settings    . Double-tap the Xbox guide button on the controller, then go to: Settings > All Settings > Display & Sound > Audio Output. It depends on your audio setup, but I'll assume you are simply getting sound through the TV's built-in
    speakers. Ensure "HDMI Audio" is not set to "Off". It should be set to something like "Stereo Uncompressed".

    If you're still not getting sound, then you may want to check if your TV is not at fault. Check your TV settings to make sure the speakers aren't disabled or anything like that. Swap your Xbox with a different device that uses HDMI and test the sound. Try
    different HDMI ports.

    Sounds Through Headset [Turtle Beach XO Seven's] NOT As Loud As Before.

    There are 2 volume settings for your Turtle Beaches.

    Game volume and Game to Chat volume.

    Make sure your Game to Chat volume is turned up high and then your standard Game Volume should come through loud and clear.

    XB1 Stereo Adapter Volume Control

    I use turtle beach headphones with the adapter. What I do is turn chat volume up with adapter, then I use the volume control on the cable connecting headset to controller to control chat volume while controlling game volume with volume control on the headset.

    Hello Michaelflood2,

    We would definitely recommend trying to contact them first before going. That way you know for sure what they are able to offer you. If your purchase was recent, or if they have warranty on refurbished consoles, you may be offered more options like an exchange.

    Don't forget to try a factory reset if you haven't already. This is the last step to do before considering replacing
    the console.

    Hi Michael,

    It might be that your controller will need replacing so perhaps you can test out your headphones on another controller/xbox to see if they work.
