  1. Volume Steps Setting (under Digital Assistants) not working

Trying to report this via the console, but the screen has been hanging for the last 10 minutes and it's my third time trying today.

You can configure how many steps to lower the volume when using a digital assistant like Alexa. I had mine set to 3 steps, which would lower my receiver's volume by about 2.5 decibels (I'm not sure how that's calculated, but whatever, it was fine for me).

Today when I asked Alexa to tell Xbox to lower the volume, it only went down by 0.5 decibels.

After struggling to find the stupid setting (seriously, guys, maybe move this to Volume or Audio settings?), I finally found the Steps setting under Digital Assistants. It was set to 3. I set it to 10 and then told Alexa to lower the volume again. My receiver still only goes down by 0.5 decibels, no matter how many steps I set it at. Same for volume up.

check the headset chat mixer in your audio settings also check the xbox general settings Go to your volume and audio out put in xbox settings and adjust your volume options in the chat mixer the party chat output and finally see what setting you have

    Also, as for this tip:

    "Other players cannot hear you

Make sure that the volume level is set correctly and that the volume is not muted in the Personal Settings area. To do this, follow these steps:

Press the Xbox Guide button on the Xbox 360 controller.

    Scroll right to Settings.

    Select Preferences.

    Select Voice.

Make sure that the Mute option is not selected. To turn off the Mute option, select Mute, and then press the A button.

Increase the volume. To do this, select the volume bar, and then press the D-pad or the left stick."

I don't have this option "Mute" under the Voice menu...

    Party Audio

    Hello Terrance,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. You will have to adjust the headset volume in the audio settings move it to the right for more volume in the headset. Also make sure your party chat output in volume settings under Display and sound is
    set to headset.

    Thanks,

    Brad
