Volume option on devices & accessories greyed out

Discus and support Volume option on devices & accessories greyed out in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; so used to have the option to change my volume of the game and the party.. but now it’s greyed out when I go to devices & acessories.     Volume option on devices & accessories greyed out


    so used to have the option to change my volume of the game and the party.. but now it’s greyed out when I go to devices & acessories. Ive tried everything. Resetting the Xbox, updating and configuring the stereo headset adapter... and nothing seems to work
    - it’s still greyed out. I want to lower the game sound so I can hear my party better. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    When I go to setting>>>kinect and devices>>devices and accessories>>xbox one wireless controller>> Volume is greyed out. How can I fix this? Thanks

    Problems with headphones

    Can anyone help please. My son having problems with his headset on the Xbox one. For some reason the volume option under devices & accessories is greyed our. I have also tried plugging in the other controller and it is still the same. What am I doing wrong

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Forums!

    I have also had this issue before as well. It means the controller is not recognizing the headset plugged in. I have had to disconnect and reconnect the headset to the controller.

    Now, it is best to test other headsets and controllers to see what the main issue would be.
    In System -> Settings -> Kinect & Devices -> Devices & Accessories -> …, there
    is Connected Headset
    and
    Volume.
    Is the option for Volume greyed out or available to click on?

    What type of headset are you using as well? Is the audio is properly configured on the console? (Mainly chat mixer, volume, toggle mic on/off, audio format…..)

    Thanks for the reply. The firmware on the controller is upto date but the volume option is still greyed out.
