Volume mixer greyed out

Hi, spoke with microsoft today & been told the turtle beach hesdphones are not compatible using the direct jack. Only way round it is to buy an adapter or use xbox chat phones.... livid tbh...

its all been since a recent update.

I recommend taking a look at the following troubleshooting articles:

• Connecting a compatible headset to
  Xbox One
  
• Xbox One controller
  and headset compatibility
  

If the problem persists:

• Try your Xbox One Stereo Headset with another device, such as a laptop, to see if the headset is working. If not, the headset will need to be replaced.
  
• Try your Headset on another controller, if you can. If the headset works on the second controller, try
  updating the first controller again.
  If that fails, the controller will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the
  Xbox Online Service Center.
  

Try this out and let us know the results.

Hi,

I would suggest looking at this guide from Microsoft see if it can give you any pointers

also on the xbox check on the setting then display and sound and check all the settings look correct.

also do you have more then one profile signed in at the same time and the headset is being assigned to the other profile?
