  1. Volume control?

OK so I was the update preview program. Major Nelson said anyone in the program already has the update and is good to go.

Yet I have never been able to find the setting for volume control as listed in The changes made by the update. When I say volume up or down...it DOESNT adjust nearly enough. The list states you can now adjust this.

I have looked everywhere for this setting...where is it?!?

    :)

  3. Volume

    Give the console a
    power cycle
, first. That usually clears up most strange system behavior.

If there's still no sound, then let's go to the
    audio settings
. Double-tap the Xbox guide button on the controller, then go to: Settings > All Settings > Display & Sound > Audio Output. It depends on your audio setup, but I'll assume you are simply getting sound through the TV's built-in
speakers. Ensure "HDMI Audio" is not set to "Off". It should be set to something like "Stereo Uncompressed".

If you're still not getting sound, then you may want to check if your TV is not at fault. Check your TV settings to make sure the speakers aren't disabled or anything like that. Swap your Xbox with a different device that uses HDMI and test the sound. Try
    different HDMI ports.

Report back with results when you can! Hope this helps!

I am glad someone else asked this very question. I can't find settings anywhere concerning this either and really want to fix the volume issue.

    Go to settings/Tv and OneGuide/Troubleshooting/Audio

    You will see it there

    Settings -> OneGuide/TV -> Troubleshooting -> Audio

You can now have it adjust the volume 1-10 per voice command.

Thanks!! That is what I was looking for!!

But, really..... you have to go to "troubleshooting" to adjust a setting??? That doesn't seem logical....

    XB1 Stereo Adapter Volume Control

I use turtle beach headphones with the adapter. What I do is turn chat volume up with adapter, then I use the volume control on the cable connecting headset to controller to control chat volume while controlling game volume with volume control on the headset.

xbox one headset, people can't hear me but I can hear them

On the adapter on the left theres a person that controls chat volume and then the right a controller that controls game volume.

Will my Turtle beach X41 work on Xbox one? if not why not?

I have a pair of x42s, if the volume controls are the same, it is tricky. The volume control on the cord doesn't do anything. I had to do a combination of the master control volume on the adapter(the 2 buttons on the right) and the volume control located
by the power button on the headset. I still haven't found my perfect chat/volume set up though.

    Xbox One Console Volume

    Hi Cmosart,

Thanks for clarifying what you are asking. The only volume control is under system and audio. There is a headset volume. If this is not there then there is no other way to control the volume.

    Thanks,

    Brad

1300:volume controls work. tv on/off does not

3949:volume controls work. tv on/off does not
