Voice messages

Voice Messaging is cool. One of my friends decided to spam me via txt messages when we were on Xbox 1. I had to use Smart Glass to keep up with the txts and how to reply as M hasn't made a chatpad and I'm not into bulky USB keyboards. It got a bit out of
hand so, lol, pay back. I went on my Xbox 360 and sent him, you guessed it... a VOICE message. All he got on his Xbox 1 console is something like =sorry we can't check voice messages here. Check them on an Xbox 360 console=. It's more *fun* with voice messages
than just boring rudimentary txt messages. It makes Xbox 1 kind of backwards since LAST gen can do voice messages and THIS/NEXT gen can only do IIII TXT IIII messages.

 

I don't like voice messages, you can't play them on the web site, you can't play them on smart glass, and i don't want hear people drone one.

I also think voice messages increase hate messages.

wouldn't mind voice to text though, and I think it will come but no idea when.

 

Probably the reason why you can't check voice messages on smart glass or xbox.com is because of the PowerPC hardware which Xbox 360 uses. It's also the reason why you can't open them on Xbox 1 because the console has x86-64 hardware which PC's also use.
90% of the voice messages I get are OK usually friends/recent players wanting to play or organize something some love messages or sharing some music. Only less than 10% are kind of hate messages but you also get those sort of messages with txts too. On Xbox
360 you can picture message, voice message, and txt message.

I don't see why on Xbox 1 you can only send txt messages. It takes away the fun in a sense. As you probably can tell I strongly support voice messaging.

 

If I am being invite to a game I normally get a game invite and I get a choice to accept or decline, or a one word message with the game name and a question mark.

But since I normally only play multiplayer, I mainly use the smart glass for messages, so I don't have to leave the game, so unless the messages are accessible on smart glass, IMO voice messages will just become a massive irritation.

 

I have to admit that I generally don't like voice messages either. I have a friend that creates a voice message to say "yes", "no" and "okay" - not okay to me and for the last few years, I've completely ignored his voice messages.

 

I feel sorry for you. Generally I have a good experience with voice messaging. But if someone is being annoying with it and were not kidding around, its hit that Block Communications button. That's just stupid.
