Voice messages...

If they implement the feature as long as they give us the option to turn it off Ill be good.

 

I miss receiving "rap battle" voice messages requests from complete strangers. It would be nice to have voice messages on the Xbox One, but I can live with sending text messages. I send them at the end of games/rounds so it doesn't
bother me anyway.

True, true, but for my tv, the voice is muffled beyond belief. The only time I can make it out is if I put my headset on.

 

I'm more of a txt message person. I always found voice messages to be awkward. I kind of like not having them.

 

Why cant I send voice messages? Why cant I send video messages? The kinect should be doing all kind of stuff like take a pic and make it my gamer pic. I did that on the 360 during the Rainbow 6 Vegas days. Updates need to be beefier. These should have been
Day One features. Disapointed they are still missing.

 

@TRUTH Microsoft is smart enough to NOT allow gamers to use the kinect to make gamer pics.....they would have to spend valuable time and energy policing all the kiddies taking pictures of nudity/porn/junk shots in 1080p clarity....

 

I'm not a fan of voice messages. I never used it on the Xbox 360. I've always preferred sending text messages instead over voice messages.

 

I don't receive many voice messages so its not really an issue for me, but when I do it's usually from some dropkick sending out clan spam.

I remember getting those... what a PITA. Although that's a problem which can be easily solved in the same manner in which they deployed the friends coming online notifications.
Go to preferences and set it to receive voice messages from either friends or favorites... or not at all.

 

I hope the feature comes back eventually. It is way easier sending a quick 5 second voice message than typing answers to questions to my friends.

But you do have people who abuse and make the feature annoying at times. Lol

 

I agree voice messages (for peps who are use to getting them from friends which includes me) are quicker to make than txt. It does have it's pros and cons. But it does add to the variety of social enrichment on Xbox Live. I get excited when I check the answer
phone on my phone, or on Xbox 360, and theres a voice message. You get some annoying/abusive ones but it's the same for txts as well. What helps make Xbox Live so fun is you can voice message/text message/picture message on Xbox 360 and sent both voice and
txts in one message on 360. It is an Xbox feature and Xbox 1 is an Xbox console. Despite the hardware architecture differences, the console has the best software creators in the world.
