Voice messages on Xbox One needs to be made private. Ages ago when I was sending voice messages, I could still hear the party chat. I wondered why. A few minutes ago while I'm in a party chat I could hear a friend of mine sending a voice message. Why
are we hearing the party chats when we're sending voice messages and listening to them? Also why can everyone in a party chat hear what we're saying in a voice message? So much for things being private! We were not even warned about people in a party chat
hearing what we're saying in a voice message. What if we're telling somebody something strictly private? Next thing, everyone in a party chat will know. This is a breech of privacy.

O Voice Messaging, Where Art Thou?

Some parents may be iffy about letting their kids have Skype cuz what ever personal info you choose to put on there you CANT change from public to private. You can't open voice messages on Xbox 1's Skype app. You can txt message, voice message, and picture
message on Xbox 360. SEE THE VARIETY there? Its what helps make XBOX LIVE so rich. Voice messaging... at least... between Xbox 1 console to Xbox 1 console is possible since all Xbox 1 consoles have the same audio codec tech. Plus younger peps may want more
VARIETY in ways to send messages ON XBOX LIVE without having to deal with ANOTHER DIVISION of Microsoft. I'm with Goth on this one. And Xbox 1 is Xbox.

how come you can't turn voice volume to zero on the dash for all games?

... thanks for replies, you can turn voice and text communication off in privacy settings but only both or neither. I would still like to send and receive text messages so would need separate settings for voice and text. Might try the private party for one
idea.

Obsessive Power

It's much easier for the system to pick up comments made in a message to ones made purely with voice comms. Voice comms would need more human interaction. Just because nothing has happened to this other user yet, does not mean they won't be suspended also.

There really is no need to reply to any offensive comments over Xbox Live. That's what the block and report buttons are for.

Also bring back thins from the xbox 360 UI. Like avatars that our friends have. Whats the point of them if we cant show them off. Also the guide to show friends and parties. Also private chat and voice messages NEED to return. its sad i needed to go to my
360 to hear a voice message. Also make it so upload studio doesn't require kinect. Some people won't use kinect, so why exclude them from using a feature. More people will buy an xbox one if they know they can still experience some of the consoles cool features
if they don't need kinect. Also, we need storage management.
