    Voice commands


    Okay the voice commands are going to make me throw my X1 out the window!! The basic stuff works fine xbox turn on, turn off, watch live tv, but after that it's a crap shoot. The commands for controlling the tv play, pause, stop are maddening. Forget trying
    to use bing search it's not even close. I tried recalibrating it but it does nothing.Oh and it's not just me it doesn't work for anyone in the house. Any suggestions?

    Cortana Voice Commands

    I’m aware of Kinect utilizing Cortana commands. But with Kinect being discontinued, I’d imagine that such functionality is still a part of the OS. So how is this functionality being utilized?

    I’d like to use the Xbox One for content consumption and my TV upstairs uses Google TV which has a remote that you can use Voice Commands with.

    Any remotes that do this with Xbox One? Or has there been any word of a new Media Remote that has a mic for Cortana Voice Commands? Or is picking up a second hand Kinect the only option?

    how to quit/close a game causing problems with multi-user signed-in

    Unfortunately at this time I don't think there is a voice command to access this menu - at least none that I've found and none are listed on the Kinect Voice Command sheet. Here's a list of current voice commands:

    Voice commands

    Try unplugging the Kinect, doing a hard boot start up on your Xbox One, then turn it off, plug in your Kinect, turn it on (hard boot) and then recalibrate Kinect in absolute SILENCE.

    Hope it works out for you, i've not had a single problem using the voice. It's on the dot, and english isn't even my language (imported english xbox one).

    I'm in the US but originally from UK. Sure, sometimes I fake an American accent and get a result. That used to work with Siri too, now Apple let you choose the input accent.

    I have to use the same trick in McDonalds sometimes. For whatever reason it is almost impossible for me to get salt unless I bring a friend along to translate. You think its frustrating when your Xbox won't turn off but that's nothing like as bad as
    asking for salt and being met with a blank expression. Come on, this is a restaurant, I want salt. Why is that so hard to understand?

    I am beta testing the update, and I am having problems with the 'yes' command at 'Xbox turn off' command. Kind of frustrating, but I usually have the controller in my hand anyway so it's not a big deal for me to scroll to the left and click 'A' to shut it
    off.
