    so to be honest I havent used my scorpio in quite a while and just wanted to play again, but I noticed that my voice commands dont seem to work anymore except for turning the xbox on. "xbox off", "xbox take a screenshot" and "xbox record that" which I have used a lot when playing but now dont seem to work anymore. it certainly cannot be a mic issue as "xbox on" works fine. and that seems kinda weird.



    I am in alpha of OS Update, so it could be a bug but before I want to actually report it, I just want to make sure it is a legit report.

    ball that's not a bug

    voice commands are location based just like your account language

    why have English commands for a French Kinect game it doesn't make sense the French accent would throw things off

    if you use voice command software like dragon dictate or a smartphone you would know accents and location does play into voice recognition

    How do I disable Kinect voice commands, without disabling the Kinect Mic?

    This isn't true, they removed Cortana, they didn't remove Kinect voice commands.

    It responds to "xbox" plus commands, and can often interpret other words to be xbox and a command, or just get triggered by the use of the word xbox within a sentence.

    Cortana, what the heck?!

    Sometimes saying "Hey" is just enough. I'd simply leave it disabled. I don't find voice commands to be useful unless I'm feeling lazy lol. Its probably just a bug.

    I would recommend reporting it in the Insider Hub anyways just so it can get looked at. Often times I feel as if Cortana and the other Xbox voice commands to be buggy at best. This link may be useful https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/cortana-voice-commands
