Voice Chat Volume Too Low (Since Controller Update)

Hello,

I have somekind of a wierd problem which I have not been able to solve yet. Not with researches on the internet, the xbox live support nor anything... so I decided to post about it in this forum as my last restort.

I am using the SteelSeries Siberia V2 Headset via a 2 in 1 converting cable to the microsoft adapter which is plugged all together leading into the controller for months now. With everything just working fine.

Now I got the problem that the voice chat sound (Party, ingame voices e.g. in CoD AW and so on) is SO QUIET that I thought it is not working at all at the first moment. But then I figured out that I 'just' have to turn up my headset + adapter to max so I
can be able to hear other people / players talking quit normal.

The problem with that is that my ears are getting blown up by all other sounds so I have to turn e.g. every game sound to a minimum so it is playable.

Details on when this occured:

until the 6th of November I was still able to hear players clearly and the last time I did. On the 7th of November I did the controller update, without the headset plugged in which I did not read on the notification popping up before the update is done.
And this could be the main reason which comes into my mind that could have forced this problem. The day that I recognized that I cannot hear others even though they are speaking was around two days ago when I played CoD AW with my friend.

So my guess would be that it has something to do with the update. So I tried to un- / redo it which I could not. I also tried to solve this problem with setting the Xbox to factory state which also did not help.

Now I am kinda clueless and hoping for a working solution. I mean in the end I still can play while talking with others but it kinda is annoying to turn the sound volumes of game and headset to min / max.

Other players can hear me loud and clear. I can hear everything else just perfectly. The described problem only occurs to Voice Chat. Tried it with other devices like my In-Ears which did work before also and now do not.

too low chat volume

i need to communicate with my friends when playing multiplayer (for example kinect rivals, forza etc.) but voice loudness too low! I found and set chat/game loudness to 80/20 but still hardly heard.

What can I do? Is my only possibility to switch off game volume? Stupid solution.......... or use snapped skype if possible?

no headset, 5.1 speakers......... i was able to try to use skype now. It works as I need, just snapped area for skype is very big :-(

Sorry to hear about the headset issue! Looking at SteelSeries' product page for the

Siberia V2 Headset, it unfortunately looks like it is not compatible with the Xbox One console. You can refer to

SteelSeries' Headset Platform Compatibility Matrix for a list of all of the headsets SteelSeries' has that work with the Xbox One console. Hope that helps!

 

Mister Beep that is the worst response ive ever heard since he clearly Said it did work before.

Anyhoo i got the same problem, Microsoft just do a [Mod Removed] patch/update already.
