voice chat not working

don't know if it's just me or the game, but when i play with friends they can't hear me. I have to restart my xbox and get back in the game
for chat to work. I'm also not in a party just in game chat. Anyone else having this problem?

Hey there -

Thanks for the additional info. Are you able to try the headset on a different controller maybe? And on a different account as well? Have you tried a different headset? Additionally, please check that your privacy settings are set to allow communications
between you and others accordingly.

Also, it would be helpful if you were to sign into your main account going forward so we can better assist.

Voice chat not working

I use the gamertag Recluse025 to play online which is linked to . I'm pretty sure I have gold or I wouldn't even be able to play online.

I've had this happen several times...which is why I don't really talk unless I'm in with friends, and we just use party chat anyway.

I hardly ever hear anyone talking in games. However, when I'm in party chat I can talk with my friends just fine. I was wondering if there was something wrong as well.

Happened to me today. I restarted my Xbox with the controller and the mic already attached and it worked. I have no idea if this is a fix. Starting without the mic attached to the controller defaulted to the Kinect for all chat.

whew! I was thinking something was really wrong! My NAT is open, I can see the mic icon when I speak, but nobody was chatting. Seems like a game made for chat/smack talk!

Mine does the same thing. I have tried everything to fix this. I even went out and bought a turtle beach headset to see if that would work.

It appears that the account you're posting is a Xbox Live Silver account, which would limit Xbox Live party chat. I would ensure that you have an Xbox Live Gold subscription to be able to use party chat, or ensure that your Xbox One Home console is set by
an account that has Xbox Live Gold.

URL doesn't work. I have done some significant googling. I've checked the options. Done a hard restart. I've done a soft factory reset.

Nothing has worked.

I can hear conversations fine. I just can't speak.

I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!
