Voice Chat not working in game lobby

Hi Enforced. I assume we are talking Xbox One? If so could you please check your NAT type? To do this, on your Xbox One go to Settings and then Network. Your current NAT type should be displayed in the middle of the screen. Once that's done could you also
check what NAT type the game see's you as having. This can be seen in multiplayer, Xbox Live, on the bottom left.

If your NAT type is strict or moderate in either case you may come across problems with party chat and other online connectivity with friends and multiplayer games. If this is the case please follow the guide below to get your NAT type open.

Same here - Kinect is working great for voice commands, but not working for in-game voice, at least not in CoD.

@I0o Shifty o0I That's a good call for "party" chat, but unfortunately it doesn't work for the feature called "in-game voice" which is the talk between members in the lobby, and the just regular speaking that happens in the game. That would technically be
a work-around, but unfortunately, there should be a better way than having to invite everyone in the lobby to join a party, just to be able to talk to each other.

I'm thinking of toying with my Xbox Chat headset and seeing if I can fit the earpiece inside the ear cup of my surround headphones....

Agreed, I have heard that the Kinect Mic is working for other games, but not for CoD. (Specifically, it doesn't work for the "in-game voice," but it supposedly still works for Party Chat. Sadly, it isn't logical to have to invite everyone in a MP lobby to
join a party just to be able to talk to each other. :-\ )

What are prestige lobbies? I have had plenty of messages asking to join clangs etc, but prestige lobbies on ebay?????? MW2 still full of noobers, tried a few games the other night, and in game voice chat is still unbelieveably rude!!!

This is the same problem I am having. Allow me to explain in detail.

When you enter party chat, game chat turns off and you are in the "party chat channel". This is so you can privately speak with your party and not the whole lobby. We all know this since it was the same on the 360.

When you are not in party chat you are in the "game chat channel" and therefore can speak with and hear other players in the online match lobby. Again we all know this since it was the same on the 360.

However, when you are in a Skype call on the Xbox One, and you go into an online match of any game, not only is yor voice broadcasting to your Skype call, it is broadcasting to the "game chat channel". You are also receiving the game chat audio through your
headset at the same time. Thus you are speaking with and hearing the entire lobby AND your Skype call at the same time. Therefore Skype is only viable as chat platform if you are in single player, which does not seem like it is working as intended.

I know it is not the Kinect because I have the option to use Kinect for voice chat turned off.

Why is Skype not its own channel that allows private communication?
