Voice Chat not working for COD Black Ops 2 Zombies

I recently got back in to Call of Duty Black Ops 2 strictly for Zombies. I want to use the voice chat to better communicate with my team, but it won't work. I saw a post similar to this where they said they simply can't hear the other people, but my problem
is that I can't even talk, and the audio is going through my TV.

I should mention a few details to make sure I have the best possible solution. I am playing the backwards compatible version, I'm using the mic that came with the Xbox One, I'm not in any parties, and my mic does work outside of the game.

I hope there is a solution, but if not then it doesn't matter too much.
