voice chat not comming through my headset

so I have my old mic from my 360 hooked up with the xbox one adapter and I can record messages fine but when I try to listen to them I can only hear them in the 360 mic headset and not my headphones I use; I am using the mic only on the old 360 cheap o headset
to communicate with friends.

So I would like to get the voice to come through my speakers as well... I have it set in configuration to go through the headset and speakers.

I do not know what to do.... The only way I can hear anyone is if i unplug my mic from the controller.

Using current headsets

You can use the mixamp for sound but not for voice chat. As mentioned in another thread I will be using the chat headset with the One as my chat and have the setting to play voice through the speakers.

 

CoD BO2 Chat

I want to play the chat through my headset and the tv for others to hear. When I go to preferences>voice I checked the box for play through both speakers and headset and I turned the voice volume all the way up and the game volume all the way down and it still isn't playing through the speakers. I also tried playing the chat only through the speakers and there was no chat to be heard at all. Does anyone know how to turn the volume up for black ops 2 or is there something wrong that I can troubleshoot?

Xbox 360 accessories are not supported on an Xbox One console. As such, we are unable to provide assistance. If you get a headset supported by the Xbox One and that gives you issues, feel free to post up a new thread and we'll try to help you out.

but this is a console issue the audio will not come through my speakers when I tell the xbox to send voice through my headset and speakers.

 

You are attempting to use your console in conjunction with an unsupported accessory. We cannot troubleshoot unless you are using a headset that is supported by the Xbox One console.

xbox one stereo headset adapter with an xbox headset plugged into it.

 

Specifically, which headset is plugged in? Is it the Xbox 360 headset you previously mentioned? As I advised before, the Xbox One does not support Xbox 360 peripherals and we are unable to provide assistance for that.

Ok so i ordered a microsoft xbox one chat headset to realy make sure this is an issue with the xbox and it is the voice chat will only come out of the headset and not the speakers even when I tell it to onlly come through speakers.... sooo how do i fix this
issue?

Hmm alright. Which headset did you get? The Xbox One chat headset or the Xbox One Stereo Headset? It'd help us if you can give us a couple screenshots of your controller/headset setup and of your settings screen so we can see if we can tell from there what's
going on. We want to be sure things look good on that front before suggesting anything like a

factory reset.
