Voice chat does not work first time xbox boots

The first time I turn on the xbox one in a day the voice chat doesn't work. I can try to re-seat the headset or take the batteries out of the controller. Usually that doesn't work. Usually I have to reboot the xbox 1-4 times before it works. Anything I can
do to fix this?

Well, I figured out with a friend that it switches from Kinect voice chat to my mics voice chat when I boot up a game. Basically, my mic doesn't work when I'm not playing an actual game (even with Kinect chat off), but then does work upon immediately booting
up let's say Dead Rising 3.

Kinda strange.

 

Xbox One Games Won't Start

Booted up switch and played Splatoon 2, sure i can't voice chat or text anyone, but the games always work.

I see that you've tried rebooting your console before. Since that doesn't seem to give us the results we want, let's try a hard reboot of the system. To do that:

• Press and hold the power button on the console for 5-10 seconds until the console powers off completely.
  
• Wait at least 60 seconds.
• Unplug the console from the power outlet.
• Wait at least 60 seconds.
• Plug the console back into the power outlet.
• Wait at least 60 seconds.
• Power the console on.

That's the problem. The first time I turn on the xbox one in a while the voice doesn't work. I have to do a hardd boot everyday which is very annoying. Sometimes I have to do it 3 or 4 times before voice works. What is interstate ing is my xbox 360 has developed
the same problem.

 

How are you signing in to your console when you turn it on?

• Kinect facial recognition?
• Kinect voice sign in?
• Controller sign in?

 

What sniffles x said is important. I was having similar issues. My voice chat wouldn't work, however, I could hear everyone else fine. Try signing into your profile using your controller, nothing else. That solved the issue for me. I haven't had any issues
since.

 

As Beekdoor said, signing in with your controller will solve all problems. If you sign in with kinect via voice, you will need to make sure kinect has seen you at some point holding the controller with the mic plugged in otherwise it doesn't know that it's
you using it and the mic isn't paired with your profile.

 

I am signing in with the Kinect. But I always turn on the xbox using the controller so the Kinect should see that I have the controller.

If the fix for this is to disable Kinect auto login then the 360 login method needs to return as and option. Or if there is only one profile on the system to log into that.
