Vizio M602i-B3 turns on, but will not turn off

I do not think this is the right forum for this issue, but the TV hardware forums do not have Vizio listed as a manufacturer, so I had no place to post it in that section of the forums.

Anyway, I recently got a new Vizio TV (switched over from a LG plasma, that worked fine with the Xbox One's Kinect IR blaster), and proceeded to go through the set-up functions to set-up Kinect to control my new TV. Unfortunately, when trying to use the
guided set-up the Xbox keeps trying to send a 'mute' command to my TV, and nothing happens. After about a dozen attempts at that, the Xbox gives up and says it can't figure out how to control my TV. It then asks me to enter my model # manually, which I do.
This automatically generates a Remote Code of 'T3758'.

Using this code, the Xbox can turn on my TV, but cannot do anything else. I do use an AV receiver, so the only other thing I need it to do is turn the TV off when I turn the Xbox off (which my LG did previously with no issues). Just for completeness sake,
I tried removing my AV receiver from the Xbox's memory, and that remote code still does not allow me to control the volume or mute/unmute the TV...its just able to turn it on, and that's it.

And yes, I did try changing what command is being sent to the TV when the Xbox turns off to both 'off' and 'toggle'. I also tried the 'send the off command twice' option as well.

And it gave me 3 alternate remote codes. 2 of them didn't work at all, and one of them did the exact same thing (would turn the TV on, but nothing else).

I then went to the Vizio website and found list of all remote codes they have for their TVs:

I tried EVERY SINGLE one of those as well. Most of the non-4 digit remote codes weren't accepted at all by the Xbox, but most of the 4 digit (and some of the 5 digit) codes could be entered, but still I'd have the exact same experience. Most would do absolutely
nothing at all (not turn on or off the TV), while a few of them would allow the xbox to turn the TV on, but not off.

I then called Vizio's support and told them about the issue and asked for additional remote codes. The support lady told me the page I was looking at was the only codes they had for their TVs.

I also have a Logitech Harmony Remote control, and that is able to properly turn on and off the TV, so I know it can be done with a universal IR. Sadly, the Logitech remote 'learns' how to control the TV by taking the TV remote and beaming it directly into
the Logitech remote, so I can't find any way to know what remote 'code' if any, the remote is actually using to control the TV.

Finally, I contacted Xbox support and sat through a 1 1/2 hour chat, where I was instructed to retry everything I had already tried above (more or less), with ultimately no solution.

• I don't think this is a Kinect issue, as it controls my AV receiver, my cable box and my previous TV just fine.
  
• I don't think it is a TV issue, because my Logitech remote is able to turn the TV on and off.
  
• I don't think it is a case of the Xbox not communicating at all with the TV, because it is able to turn the TV on (just not off).
  

So either my Xbox One is faulty, or there is an issue with this particular Vizio model (or maybe there is a secret remote code that I just don't know of).

Has anyone else had this issue with this Vizio model (or any other Vizio model)? Or am I the only one? If anyone had this issue and figured out a way around it, I would greatly appreciate hearing me about it.

X1 not turning my sound bar on or off since new update!!!

Same here my xbox will turn off my vizio soundbar and control volume but it wont turn it on! Everything was fine before the update...

 

XBox One will not power ON Sony xbr65x900a or the Motorola Uverse box.

When using my Vizio, everything seemed to work fine.

Replaced the Vizio with the XBR and when I say XBox On, everything works, except it doesn't power on the motorola uverse dvr box.

When I say Xbox Turn off, it turns off everything EXCEPT the TV. I have to grab the remote and manually turn that off.

 

Try entering the model # of your remote in place of your TV code on the Xbox one. I did it with a friends TV and it worked perfect.

Nope, no solution. Those codes you posted are the same ones I found on Vizio's website. I tried each and every one with no luck.
