Vizio 4k UHD D Series 50" Xbox One X Issue

Hello all,

I am brand new to the Xbox One X. I have been playing with the original Xbox One for years and years but I decided to upgrade my Xbox to the One X and my TV from a 65inch Samsung LED to a Vizio 4k UHD D Series 50". Anyhow, I am having an issue. The game
I play looks great and all but I decided to check out the Xbox settings and it tells me that I can not put the screen resolution in 4k. It says my tv doesn't support it. How so? It is a 4k tv with UHD. Any and all help would be awesome. It is not a total letdown
since the screen looks a lot better than it did on my old tv but considering I have a 4k tv, I should be able to play and watch in 4k right?

Yeah i read that somewhere so I made sure to plug it into HDMI 1 and i have tried navigating all the menus and settings on the tv but havent found the 4k settings. Id imagine its under “picture settings” and i have been all through those

There also may be tv settings to enable 4k support

In addition to the above, some 4k TVs only accept a 4k signal from certain HDMI ports, check the one you're plugged into. My Hisense tv requires me to enable a setting in the menus; HDMI needs to be set to 'enhanced' or else the xbox reports that the tv
is not 4k compatible!!

Yeah i have it in the HDMI 1 and its the only port that has a green border, indicating that it is special lol. The model is D50x
