Viva Pinata Download Support

Hello,

I'm not sure that community support can solve this - probably need assistance from Microsoft team member.

I purchased Viva Pinata for XBox 360 in August 2012. I now have an XBox One. I tried to download the backwards-compatible version from the store today because I was in the mood for some happy farm time, but it was not listed in my owned games and the only
option was to buy it (no option to play/install). I went through the bot chat support without success and finally got a support call, who confirmed I purchased the XBox 360 licensed version but that the version I bought was not backwards-compatible so therefore
would not appear in the store. According to the agent, the backwards-compatible version only became available in 2013-14.

I don't think I should have to buy this game again as the only aspect that seems to differ between the version in the store and the version I bought is backwards-compatibility. Can you please credit my account for a new download or explain why backwards-compatibility
is worth another $20? I was so excited to get sucked in again but now I'm feeling a little meh about it.

The game is associated with my account, I have an 18-digit order number from 2012, confirmed as a valid purchase by your agent "Alex" on 8/8. There is no option to download/install/play from the store, only to buy. I've gone through the Backwards Compatibility
Troubleshooting. The explanation from Alex was that I didn't buy a backwards-compatible version. Can you explain why it is on the consumer to absorb obsolescence? Why can I play PC games over multiple versions of Windows without trouble but, even though I
have proof of purchase (once again, confirmed by your agent) of a Microsoft XBOX 360-licensed game, the store does not recognize my purchase. Alex referred me to the forums and you referred me to a FAQ page that does not apply to my issue, and apparently my
issue does not warrant a call or chat. Can someone take ownership of this issue and actually look at my account?

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to deal with this issue. I can totally see how this could be pretty puzzling. The game should be tied to the account that purchased it. I would suggest checking the store and seeing if you can download
it through there. It might be good to check out what we also have here on Troubleshoot playing Xbox 360
games on your Xbox One.

As for the emails, if they are from support, the case should open up once you reply back.

If I had a nickle for every post silvercube made in 2013.... I would be pretty poor lol.

If anything viva pinata, I would go with just Viva Pinata, or Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise (if considering replay value imo).
