Visual glitch with some Xbox series X 'enhanced' games

Dear all,

I'm having a very annoying visual glitch when playing certain 'enhanced' games on my Xbox series X. The screen is filled with white or black squares whenever I start up Halo: Infinite or Cyberpunk 2077 (see images below). For Halo it starts when I get to the menu screen (and never goes away), for Cyberpunk it happens only once I load a game. Either way I am unable to play either of these games. I think the issue is related to the enhanced versions of the game. Before the latest Cyberpunk update which introduced this enhanced version, it was working fine. The issue doesn't pop up with other 'enhanced' games such as Outriders or Jedi: Fallen Order though. I have already tried reinstalling the game (Halo at least), power cycling my Xbox, factory resetting my Xbox (while keeping the games and apps) and changing various settings both of the xbox itself and of both games. I don't know what else to do to be able to play these games. The TV I play on is quite old (it doesn't support 4k, I play on 720p), but buying a new one is quite expensive and I would like to avoid this if at all possible.

Any advice or tips on how to solve this issue would be most helpful, thanks!

Dear Hayabusa (or anyone else with the knowhow to solve the issue),

It's been a couple of weeks since my last message and I haven't heard anything from xbox regarding the fact that my console is still not functioning properly even after being 'repared'. Is there any way to resolve this issue?

Thank you for the reply! I tried the calibration and sadly that did not solve the issue. All boxes related to 4k have been ticked off in the video modes tab as well (most of them I can't tick anyway with that TV). I also tested my xbox on a different, much newer tv, which does enable 4k, but the issue persists. I then tried the calibration on that other tv but not luck either...

Thank you for reaching out to the forums. Looks like it might be some calibration settings.

To adjust your settings on your Xbox Console: Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options

From there, navigate to Calibrate HDR for games since it seems to be specific to the enhanced games. Then click on Next and follow the calibration instructions for the minimum and maximum luminance

You can also check the Video modes and uncheck boxes that don't work with your current TV set up (for example 4K, HDR, etc).
