Visa gift card usage

Discus and support Visa gift card usage in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have a problem with a visa gift card. I am trying to buy a game and my xbox wont take the card.     I have a problem with a visa gift card. I am trying to buy a game and my xbox wont take the card. I put it under credit card and did everything right. I registered the card as well and the lady told me to put the cardholder name written like a regular credit
    card.

    it says check with your bank after I wrote my cardholder name as Joshuasmith exaclty like that. not sure what is going on and I need help. 2k is 20$ on the store for six more days. crazy good deal.

    You can't use any sort of gift card as a form of payment on Xbox.

    Payment options include:

    • Credit cards, including prepaid credit cards
    • Debit cards (not available in all regions)
    • PayPal (not available in all regions; see
      Use PayPal with your Microsoft account      )
    • Direct debit (Germany only)
    • Mobile operator billing (not available in all regions)


    You are able to add a prepaid credit card as a valid payment option to your account. When adding the card are you adding proper billing information that is registered to that credit card? If there is no billing information linked to that gift card then you
    will not be able to add this as a payment instrument.

    Sorry for your issue. Check that you entered a valid billing adress at your prepaid credit card. If this is the case and it still not works out you could buy a Microsoft prepaid card on online vendors and use them to get the game you want. There could
    be trouble on online services when using a prepaid credit card.

    i think you should try to redeem that gift card somewhere else you can buy a xbox gift card, buy it, and use it here.
