Virus Microsoft Edge

I was in Microsoft Edge and my mom wanted to watch a TV series but it was not on YouTube, so I went to different pages but the problem happened when I suddenly got 3 viruses in your Xbox and I just want to know if this affects my console or just
my microsoft edge and some solution because I'm afraid that my games and my subscription to xbox live gold will be taken away and that it will be a year before it expires Please Help!!!

The most annoying pop up iv had yet , iv searched every where for an answer for this and at the moment nothing , iv had this pop up all day and Microsoft edge where they give you a number to ring , reports say it's a scam for money I belive , on the app
it's self I can't see to get rid of the pop up that u hav to press ok , I did this repeatedly ,eventually I had and option of "do not show again" , not working , I need seriouse help I am stuck on the pop up for the day now and I tried everything I could think
of please someone help me or microsopht help me

Most likely it's just spam trying to make you think you have a virus. It's not possible to get a virus on the console. There's nothing you have to do. It'll be fine.

I wouldn't say that you do indeed have a virus on your console.

You probably ended up getting hit by a bunch of pop-up adds when you went to that streaming website. We call these adds "malicious tabs" and we do have a page on how to get around that on our site at

Now if you are having problems with how your console is running after you experienced that, then I would say to do what we call a soft factory reset.

It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts and have easy access to your internet network, as doing this step will remove the accounts
from the Xbox and you will have to re-add them back after.
