Virtual Reality for Xbox one? PlayStation has it, anyone heard anything for Xbox?

Just wondering if Xbox has announced anything for VR to combat sonys PS4 VR, I tried out the PS4 VR at the mall and was quite amazed at what it was like, eve Valkyrie was utmost impressive, why isint Xbox coming out with one too?

Virtual reality headset? Uhh... okay then, first I've heard.

 

Has Anyone Heard Anything Back

I can hear other people talk in party chat and game chat, but no one can hear me. The problem literally appeared overnight. The headset worked fine right before I went to sleep and wouldn't work when I turned on my console the following morning. I have done
everything I can to fix the problem short of buying a new headset because I don't want to spend money replacing a malfunctioning accessory when I feel confident that I am not responsible for it not working. One of my friends on Xbox Live is currently experiencing
the same issue and the problem started around the same time.

 

If it does happen then it will not be until at least Scorpio comes out. They are waiting until the release of Scorpio next year from what I understand.

 

Probably not because Microsoft is going to garbage. They won't even fix the lip sync issue tons of people are having when watching Blu Rays or using the bitstream out surround sound setting. PS4 is looking like the better way to go month by month.

 

Next console will have VR.

 

Microsoft and Oculus have been working together, there's a reason that headset has a Xbox One controller bundled in with it after all.

The current Xbox One simply doesn't have the power to run Triple A VR titles. Those screens maybe small but they are outputting at near 1440p resolution each.

Hovering my mouse cursor over his badge showed 'Ambassador'. A google search showed me that Microsoft have the program as a way of users helping each other far more quickly than they could get to it. Pretty good idea to be fair.

 

Yep Microsoft and Oculus have been working together for some time. Also at the Microsoft briefing last week they announced a partnership with Acer and lenovo both will be making a VR headset for $299. To work with Windows 10 with the creators update next
year. Were Xbox wasn't mentioned with this they have said that Scorpio will support VR with any VR headset in the past

Yes, i am excited about the new windows 10 VR headsets they looked quite amazing in the video i saw, they called it mixed reality or something? kind of looked like the hololens but just $2700 cheaper.. anyone know when this ones coming out? from what ive
heard its going to be spring 2017 around the time the creators update takes effect. 3:08+ in the video.

 

Well they don't really need to combat anything as it is basically full of demos and short experiences. For those interested in it (I'm not) Microsoft is partnering with companies to build compatible headsets around Scorpio or just after when and IF there
is something worth playing in VR that doesn't make you turn green.

 

As long as VR stays as an optional, side purchase accessory, cool. The minute gaming requires me to strap that crap onto my face (for hours on end) is the moment I move on. I have sensitive motion sickness issues, tried a little VR and I was running for the
bathroom. Gonna be that way with a lot of people I am guessing. I personally think VR is going to remain very niche and/or may FAD out over time.

 

Would be pretty cool if they did, also I'm really interested in Hololens. Either way the future of VR is looking pretty bright, way better than when it first popped into everyone's consciousness back in the early 90's

 

I really cant wait for them to show more on dec 8-9, 14-15, about their VR headsets.
