Virtual Keyboard Lockup

Hi.

So i thought it was a one time thing, but recently both my Xbox One consoles are freezing up whenever i open up the virtual keyboard to type messages in any game or through XBL PMs.

Is this something Microsoft is aware of and working on? Because it is infuriating when it happens. Can't do anything but hard-resetting my consoles when it happens and i can't reply or send important messages out to my community members either.

We canno't change profile because for some reason, there is no more virtual keyboard on the screen!

If somebody can help?

I'm sorry to hear about this i encountered a similar bug but later after an update it was patched for me at least i would stay patient until the next update and then see if it patches it in the next update i would also leave

Have you tried doing hard resets on the consoles? Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the
console. Once it is back up and operational test for results. Let us know. Good Luck!

This does seem to be an issue with the update. It looks like your best option is to wait for a future update at this point. If you have Smartglass, a few users have been able to use that to finish whatever it is that they're typing, but they have had to
hard reset the console after that to be able to do anything else.

Hello Luis,

We understand that you're experiencing an issue concerning the virtual keyboard on your Xbox One console not being the normal size that it was.

We recommend trying a power cycle
of the console.

If the problem persists, try doing a soft factory reset of the console,
reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

Try this out first and let us know the results.
