Virtual Keyboard lock up

Discus and support Virtual Keyboard lock up in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; For quite some time (since the beta of the NXOE is when I have been experiencing it) a bug will occur with the virtual keyboard causing it to lock up....     Virtual Keyboard lock up


    For quite some time (since the beta of the NXOE is when I have been experiencing it) a bug will occur with the virtual keyboard causing it to lock up. This renders the home button and keyboard inoperable and unable to close without voice commands until a
    full power cycle is performed for the X1. The cause seems to be when clicking the left stick to switch to caps and pressing a key quickly after, however, still happens if you pause between the two actions. Mostly experience this in the game Warframe but has
    happened when using the messaging system. A temporary work around is to use the smart glass app to type.

    Virtual keyboard

    whenever I need to type something on virtual keyboard, the system completely locks up. Can only restart system with power button. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Moving this up as its getting ridiculous having to hard reset my console 4-5 times a day just to use the keyboard.

    From your post, it seems like you are in the preview program. I recommend reporting the issue after it happens from your console if at all possible, and if not posting in the preview forums. For what it's worth, you're not alone with this issue, I've seen
    a couple of other posts reporting the same thing.

    The problem is that the onscreen keyboard or virtual keyboard will not appear whenever I try to search, enter passwords, or text the virtual keyboard never appears the cursor flashes a few times then stops the controller is completely unresponsive the only responsive button on the controller is the home button in the center of the controller which pulls up an onscreen menu that I still can't navigate because no other buttons on the controller are responsive but like I previously said this is only temporary but as soon as I need to pull up the virtual keyboard it happens all over again my virtual keyboard will not appear onscreen
