    Virtual Keyboard functionality on iOS App is Missing


    The ability to use the iOS XBOX app to enter text through the on screen keyboard is no longer there. Thus requiring the use of the controller to enter text. Is this ever coming back?

    Xbox App Keyboard

    Not quite the same issue but I have a sporadic issue with the app on iOS not letting me type to my system from my phone for messages or error reports. Tapping on my phone just registers as button inputs instead of bringing up a virtual keyboard. Really
    annoying and unfixed bug. Maybe the same for the PC app and regular keyboards?

    Smartglass keyboard still super finicky

    This is the most infuriating problem, and has persisted through multiple versions of the app. Everyone I know who uses the app on BOTH Android and iOS to copy and paste commands (ARK SA COMPANION for example) routinely loses the virtual keyboard and has
    to reset the XBOX and reinstall the app to get it back. Doesn't seem to be any other way to get it back.

    Which app is this? Does it allow you to type everything on your Xbox using your phone? o_O I'm keen to try this

    If what you are trying to do is to associate an app to a button on the controller so that when you press it, a virtual keyboard is executed on screen, unfortunately this is not possible, there is no native function or Xbox application for this.

    Are you still running into issues with the app? To be sure, are you on an iOS device? The Xbox SmartGlass app is no longer supported on iOS and may not function because of this.
