Virtual expansion does not work

Hello all !

My problem is the following:

Some years ago I had my account on the Xbox 360 but I lost it, there is no way to access it, therefore I lost all the content there.
Well, now I have a new account on the Xbox One and I am playing several Xbox 360 games, including Red Dead Redemption 1, years ago on my Xbox 360 account I bought the expansion of the undead nightmare, all my 360 discs are physical, except for the expansion
that I bought virtually at that time (the expansion was lost with my Xbox 360 account).

Now, two days ago I bought the undead nightmare expansion in the Xbox store with my current Xbox One account and it downloaded in the console without any problem, when I insert the RDR disc, the options to select the normal RDR story and the undead nightmare
story are there, when I select the RDR option, the game starts without any problem, but when I select the undead nightmare option, only a menu appears with content to download but up to there, the game does not start and there is no button enabled to start
the game.

The RDR disc is physical in its Xbox 360 version.
The current console is Xbox One.

I purchased the expansion in my current account on Xbox One.

The download was successful on the console (verified).

Someone knows waht the problem could be?

One place we could start would be by asking if you tried that download menu that pops-up on the 360 dashboard when you try and play the Undead Nightmare dlc on your Xbox One (since all backwards compatible games pretty much run on what's basically an Xbox
360 emulator.) Does that menu let you 'download' the dlc from there?

Yea. This is not going to work for me. I have jumped ship over to Ubuntu. I am currently on version 21.04. All the quality issues of Microsoft and bloat/ad-ware drove me out.

I have been testing. In a virtual machine. gnome-boxes, I booted up xbox accessories. The application within the virtual environment does recognize the controller and works without any issues on bluetooth. When I go and try configure the controller, it says I need to connect via the wire. The issue with that is, while bluetooth works great in the virtual environment, while wired the application does not recognize my controller.

I then tried going to vmware, but it is having issue right now. I am fitting to try virtual box next. Why does the controller even need to be updates?! I find that to be absolutely ridiculous.

I bought these discs separately. They didn't come together like the Game of the Year edition. The second disc is all it says it is, an expansion pack. This disc simply installs Shivering Isle and Knights of the nine but not the actual game. I've tried installing
the expansion pack first and then the actual game but still the content does not work.
