Virgin Problems

So my Virgin cable box started playing up a few days ago. An engineer came out today and deduced the hard drive was faulty, replaced it, then still had problems with the set up. I explained it was passed through my Xb1 so we tried it straight into my TV,
turns out it works fine. So I have a new cable box, I then plugged that straight into the HDMI again on the Xb1, to yet again have the same problem. It jitters and pauses, starts and stops. I have deduced this new One Guide update has caused this as it worked
fine before hand. So my questions to ye all savvy Xbox connoisseurs is two fold -

Is anyone one else in the UK with Virgin having problems since the update

I only have 2 HDMI ports on my TV, hence the pass through. Does a PC pass though ok via the Xb1 ?.

On topic though, I have virgin Media cable myself, but have yet to run it through my xbox, so i'll keep an eye on this thread

 

Having done a little research it seems a few peeps have issues with the pass through for PC's, intermittent lag and freezing. I have just tried it and the scaling is all off too, with no way of setting it. I also had lag and intermittent problems.

 

Get an HDMI splitter, I only have two on the back of my TV, so I got a splitter from Amazon, works perfectly auto selects HDMI source and cost less than a tenner and solves the lack of port issue. 3 hdmi into 1.

Same as Hog I dont pass my Tivo box through yet, so hope you get it sorted.

No worries. Works a treat I have four HDMI sources, with the One going into one port on the TV and a 360, blu ray, and Tivo box going through the splitter and then into the second port. It auto selects the source as you turn on the device, and also came
with a IR remote control incase auto switch fails. Not failed yet though.
