Virgin Media upgrade

I am on the 76Mbps down and the 20Mbps up package from bt, I get 74Mbps download speed in real terms and 16Mbps upload also, it is fast enough for me and I am unmetered so no data limits which is a godsend. but where I live only a third of the town was
fitted out for cable back in the days of ntl, the the council chucked them out as they were leaving the pavements in a horrible state and not fixing there mess.

Never experienced any "jitter" myself, apart from the odd bout when going about my day to day business, but online gaming is all good!

Cheers guys. Due to the nature of the product some downtime is always to be expected but it's good to hear that the only time it seems to go down is when they're actually performing maintenance / improving the service. As for getting 120MB for the price
of 2MB it's a nice touch that they reward long standing customers like this as i'm fairly sure BT would hike their price to match the speed increase if they operated a similar upgrade

Think I'll get those wheels in motion ...

Yeah, it's very rare that my BB goes down with virgin. When it has done I think the longest it's taken to get up and running again has been 90mins.

Yes they shoved mine up by £7 as well, not happy, soon as my contract with them is up I'm off!

Mine is also going from 120mb to 152mb in July.
