Virgin Media TV through Xbox One X: Audio and Guide but no TV Picture

you can plug the box directly into your Xbox in the back there will be a port that says input in also go to your tv tuner settings on your Xbox to configure the virgin box hope this helps

Hi, the first thing I would do is try each HDMI port on your Tv. If you have no joy with that then go into your Virgin box settings and try various output options in the display setting.

I use the same box from Virgin but found the display to less than great when passing the signal through the Xbox so stopped using that setup.

Hi, thanks, I guess I didn't add enough detail to the issue; the V6 box is plugged into the Xbox, and i have gone through set up. Everything works ok, except the picture on any tv channel is blank (a fairly major drawback!)

As far as I am aware, if you have routed your Virgin Media box through your Xbox One to make use of the ability to watch TV via your Xbox, your Xbox has to be turned on to work this as the signal is going from your Virgin Media box, to your Xbox, to your
TV - so basically your Xbox is acting as a bridge between your Virgin Media box and the TV.

If you want to use your Virgin Media box, and your Xbox is turned off, that breaks the chain so it won't work - you'll have to instead forget your Xbox and just route your Virgin Media box straight into your TV as it would have been connected before Xbox
One.

I'm sure anyone will correct me if I'm wrong in saying this.

I have mine connected via the Xbox in the same way for my Sky box and the Xbox has to be on for me to watch it.
