    Virgin Media TiVo DVR controls

I've just set up my VM TiVo box to get controlled by my Xbox One and it's all working fine, but the DVR controls aren't working (ie saying xbox pause or selecting pause with SmartGlass doesn't do anything.) Is this a known issue or something else?

    :)

Xbox On/ Xbox Turn Off does not power on off Tivo Virgin Media

hiya what you could also try is in the device control section of the settings make sure you have the cable or satellite box set to Virgin Media Tivo ...so CABLE OR SATELLITE BOX BRAND set to Virgin Media and then CABLE OR SATELLITE BOX MODEL set to TiVo....this
worked for me and should give you access to the functions you want.

Yeah, sadly it just doesn't work... aside from watching the live TV channels you'll need your VM TiVo remote for anything else... it's why I disconnected mine from the xbox, seemed a bit pointless.

That is pretty pointless, I hope they fix this some point soon because apart from changing channels that's the thing I do most with my TiVo. If I need to keep my TiVo remote nearby anyway it completely defeats the objective of the xbox being able to control
    my media setup!

It works great with the normal stuff, but I agree, it would be amazing if it did everything the remote can do. Looks like DVR control will be on the update wishlist soon!! lol

@NEV5TaR really? So this is actually a bug then? Out of interest, do you know how many different IR signals your kinect tried before it got the right one for your VM box? Mine was the first attempt and it doesn't work with the controls, so I assume yours
was different for it to be working.

  10. So you have to control that stuff with Smartglass?

Like holding a remote in your hand then?

Lol... replacing one remote for another, one TV Guide/system for another and wasting power having to have the console on to watch TV.... Genius!

[Mod removed] The point is that you can control everything with one remote - do you call the idea of a universal remote stupid? No, because it's useful to have everything controllable from one place. Before the xbox one I needed 3 remotes
    - an Xbox 360 controller for gaming; my TV's own control for switching it on and changing the volume, and my virgin media remote for watching TV. Now I only really use 2 thanks to the xbox one, but I'd like to only need to use 1.

Added to that of course that you can just say xbox pause as you leave the room if you don't have the control to hand and it could be a very useful setup if I could get the pausing to work like NEV says he has.

Just for anyone still trying to get full DVR control on VM TiVO.... I got it working by manually changing the code from c1060 to c3265 as Nevstar suggested
