Virgin Media & One Guide Question

Hi,

quick question just bought an xbox one. I have a virgin media box in my room that i have connected to it. Its not a tivo box but it still records, pauses etc. The tv works fine but my one guide doesnt display any listings, i just have to switch to tv option
and use the virgin media box like normal. Is there a way to set it up so it shows listings without kinnect?

Has the new update got the one guide for the UK, if so I go I get it to recognised virgin media?

If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter? using wired

Things you have tried: I have gone through the whole guide provided on these forums

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT? strict

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? virgin media

oops - Note Channel information in the OneGuide is currently only available to Xbox One customers in the United States. If you live outside the United States, you can still use HDMI pass-through to view TV content through Xbox One, but the OneGuide will
not show your TV listings.

That's weird - why can't you access the planner from the One Guide? I've seen loads of people comment that the One Guide works quite well with the Virgin Media TiVo guide - are you saying that it just doesn't work with Sky or that it doesn't work at all...??

There is actually a setting you can now change for this specifically that came in the June update.

Unfortunately I do not have a One to hand as I type this, so you're going to need to do some hunting for yourself to find it, but I can suggest where it might be and what you're looking for.

In Settings, it could be under Power & Startup (unlikely) or TV & OneGuide.

The setting is one that tells your console what signal to send your devices when you power it on or off. The settings are 'toggle' (which will turn the TV or set-top box on if it's off or off if it's on, regardless of whether you're turning the One on or
off) or to do nothing.

This does mean that you cannot use the One to turn the TiVo on, but at least the One will not be shutting it off.

The Oneguide app, if you have all your devices set to it, just tries a generic shut down or start up when you shut down or start up the Xbox. Unfortunately it's really an all or nothing system. It can't differentiate the difference between just a standard
shut off vs sleep mode. So the only real fix here, at least for now, would be to not use the app.

A great place to make this bug known would be the feedback/wishlist forums and let them know there is a bug that needs a fix and let the development team know they need to address it. Head over here and post up:
