VIP Vault

Hi, with the Xbox rewards now closing are you going to restock the VIP vault as you don’t have anything other than pointless overwatch wallpapers available right now?

While It makes sense for physical items, it’s very odd that digital rewards for things like Xbox live or games pass are constantly out of stock, makes sense for the yet they aren’t a physical item so can’t really run out.

What will happen to vault/vip points if nothing actually worth buying by June?

We did a series of restocks over the last few months. Since the program is ending in your region, if you wish to spend your Gems in the Vault, you must use them on the current prizes in the Vault before the final transition to Microsoft Rewards.

Oh I actually got a response about a month ago. Told me to watch the twitter handle for restock updates. Yeah I don't use twitter, thank you very much. Such bullcrap!

 

What will happen to my Xbox Live Rewards MyVIP Gems, MyVIP Perks, and MyVIP Vault?



You'll have until May 31, 2018 to earn MyVIP Gems and unlock any new MyVIP Perks. You'll then have until June 15, 2018 to claim any open MyVIP Perks and to redeem any unused MyVIP Gems in your Xbox Live Rewards account for prizes from the MyVIP
Vault. After this date any unredeemed MyVIP Gems will be converted to Microsoft Rewards points and can be used to redeem rewards from the Microsoft Rewards catalog once your membership is transitioned. One MyVIP Gem will convert to one Microsoft Rewards point.

 

Thanks. That feels like a bit of a con given the valaue of a MS points vs the value of the prizes like gold or a games pass especially when your encouraged to store points up to buy a bigger prize but then all prizes are out of stock and now the scheme is
closing.

 

Yes i feel its a bad deal the gems being converted to Microsoft Points.

1000 Gems is a 3mth Xbox Live card 15000 Points in Microsoft Points.

Plus losing VIP etc etc seems a very bad deal for xbox Fans!

Please restock the shop ASAP!

 

Personally the Microsoft Rewards program works better for me. I don't have to spend money to earn points and can get more than just Xbox currency. I don't buy from Xbox often so it's better for me to be able to redeem points for gold or a game pass instead
of money. I can earn Microsoft points a lot faster than I earn Xbox rewards credits.

 

That's fine for you. I buy from Xbox all the time, find Microsoft points largely worthless based on my experience so far, the conversion rate seems like a rip-off...I could go on. This is a huge downgrade for tons of users.

 

But you can earn several hundred points per day without having to spend money to get them. And once you can redeem them, you can do so immediately without having to wait for specific deposit dates.

 

Yeah by doing things like using Bing, which I have no desire to do. Also points being converted directly into currency is a huge positive. And a 1:1 conversion ratio for dollars to Microsoft Points is stupid low.

 

To get those points you have to waste your time doing take the tour over and over do the same quiz over and over or use bing to search and as for the prizes go on MS rewards they are a con to get 1 month game pass which cost 7000 points or you can spend
$7000 to get it

MS rewards do not benefit gamers at all its just another way for MS scum to do us out of money

 

I would just like to know if the vault will be updated again so people ca use their Gems as oppose to having them transfer.

 

Gems converting 1:1 is basically a scam. According to the vault rewards, gems should automatically convert to Microsoft rewards points at 1:20. If not, at least stop pretending that a digital reward you have full control over is out of stock. What a disgusting
way to treat your users.

 

The conversion rate is complete crap. At the least you could do is "restock" your own digital currency to a program based around your gaming console. Not screwing over the loyal customers who've prioritized their gaming purchases on your digital marketplace
to maximize their potential rewards.

If I had known this was going to be the case down the road, I'd purchase about more than half of my items physically or at the very least at another retailer with a rewards program.

 

Can they do this? Sure. They have right to do this, but why the f..k the digital currency is out of stock. You own this gd. It looks like that u do it in purpose knowing that 1:1 conersion is with lost and it means that u are greedy f...s and people should
never buy anything through MS store because whats the point - cheaper is through other shops.
