VIP Status didn't upgrade

I received an email on Feb 2 stating that if I spent $133 on content by the month's end, I'd be upgraded to a four-star member. After having done so (about $210 worth of games) and checking back today, my account doesn't seem to have been upgraded. Just
hoping that someone can look into why?

Missing reward points

I had the same problem. Rewards haven't tracked that I'd gone over 75,000 gamerscore either to upgrade my VIP status.

I didn't get any points for purchasing watch dogs 2 and it didn't improve my VIP status

Pre-orders are not eligible for MyVIP, and therefore not eligible for the VIP Boost offer. This is mentioned in both our MyVIP FAQ:

What content on the Xbox Store is eligible for MyVIP?

Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes, movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar
items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

Which content is eligible for this offer?

You must spend at least $XX before tax on qualifying MyVIP content from the Xbox Store and Microsoft Movies & TV during the offer period. Most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles (game pre-orders

VIP status is not random, but VIP exclusive offers are.

As of September 2014, VIP status is no longer based on gamerscore (btw, legend status only have 3% back). VIP status is now based on star levels. You need at least 1 star level in order to receive a VIP rebate.

No. The Rewards program itself is free, but VIP status is based on how much you spend in the marketplace. So you just have to make purchases in order to keep VIP status.
