    When you create the world in the option menu need to have the building generate on (checked) for the Villagers to be in the world and the buildings.

    No they won't. That's update 1.8 which more than likely won't be out until September.

    Me and a buddy started a new world last night and I went exploring. Finally found a village right off the map. Full of villagers that I could trade with. Remember if you start a large world in this version it can be quite a way between things unlike the
    360 version. I had no idea till I went looking.

    Villagers are now rear on the XB1 and PS4 versions, like they are on PC.

    All of my villagers have disappeared?

    I've had the same problem...

    Had a village of breeding villagers, went mine clearing, came back, villagers gone! all of them!!

    Went to next village, bagged a couple and brought them back to my village. Went mapping, came back, all the villagers gone.... In both villages!!

    Found a third village, buried deep in sand, with 3 villagers... Left everything alone except for clearing some sand, and put in a couple of doors to the village huts.

    Went back to my base built an automated chicken breeder/farm/cooker...

    Popped in to see villagers, as it the other side of the map to my base....

    Villagers all gone!!!!!

    There are now no more villagers on the map, every time I left them alone they DESPAWNED!

    will the villagers have to be there? i dont want the villagers cloging up my modifyed npc village

    In the next update you will be able to breed villagers by giving a diamond to a village girl.

    No towns or villagers. Towns were added in 1.8.1 and the villagers in 1.0.0 and the Xbox version will be based on 1.6.6 at the start. With what they have said though, the villagers should be in the game within a few months!
