Viewing Pictures from computer on home network on Xbox One

I am having an issue doing game streaming from my xbox to the windows 10 computer via ip address when off the home network with the computer

The IP Address of your Xbox One console can only be seen on the console itself. If there is someone at home that you can call to check it for you, that is the best way to get the IP Address from the console.

I have this same problem, although its not with my external usb hard disk but with my WDMYCLOUD. I used to be able to stream all my videos, view my pictures from here but I don't see it in the Media player anymore.

Initially i thought it has something to do with my network at home, but that was not the case. I am able to connect to the WDMYCLOUD from my smart tv that has my xbox one connected.

Its definitely something to do with the Xbox one or the update that was pushed last. I spent an hour with tech support and they could not even escalate the issue.

From your description I do not think that anyone was accessing your xbox. Your xbox is set-up to be able to access music, videos, and pictures from other computers connected to the network to which the xbox is connected. The best course of action would be
to change the wireless connection security settings (new password) for the network. Do not ever leave a wireless network "OPEN". If the problem still exists after this, Then it is probably going to be a pc that is hard wired to the network.
