Video streaming quits on Microsoft Edge & internet browser

Has anyone else had an issue where Microsoft Edge quits during video playback? I was watching an online movie today from a website I've been using for years when Edge suddenly quit. I cleared the Cache on my Xbox one and removed all history and checked the
settings tab on Edge but nothing has solved this? I then downloaded a 3rd party app (Internet browser is its name off the XBO store) and tried the same website and video and yet again the video quits.....I have tried other sites and video too but this still
happens.

Is there a new feature in the latest update that stops you watching online content using Edge or a third party browser?

Microsoft Edge needs fixed

my Microsoft edge keeps shutting down when trying to watch any video and its really getting on my nerves i loved the browser best when it was still internet explorer so either fix edge and make it work like it should or bring back internet explorer please

Microsoft Edge issues

Hey guys,

I use the internet explore quite a bit to stream videos and what not but I found that the new Microsoft Edge on the console doesn't allow for websites scripts to run properly, such as trying to pop out a video player, switching to fullscreen, or even getting
the video to play. Streaming HTML5 formatted video files used to be a breeze now its impossible. I hope this is an issue that can be resolved soon, if not an option should be made available to revert back to the original Internet Explorer.

Could you provide a bit more information for us please? We have tried to make Edge crash by streaming videos and movies but we have yet to succeed at that. What is the site you're streaming from and what are you watching?

Hello Kathy,

I am not having any issues with my Series X console in terms of browsing and using the Microsoft Edge browser in streaming Youtube and other video streaming sites.

On the other hand, if I am using Microsoft Edge on my laptop or android phone, it can't also stream Discovery Plus.

Same problem. If I try and stream a video (anything on PBS.org for instance) I get booted to the home screen. No error code or anything. I have tried the Internet Browser app but this has the same problem. Power cycling does nothing and there is no way to
uninstall/reinstall Edge. How was this not immediately fixed?

No only internet explorer is browser for xbox 360, however on xbox one they changed the browser to microsoft edge..
