    Video streaming quality issues


    I use the xbox system video player to steam video files from my PC to my 360. Everything worked fine with windows 7. I upgraded to windows 10 and now the video will stutter every 1-3 minutes almost as if its buffering (no loading bar shows). My xbox has
    frozen before when this happens.

    No hardware changes have been made and I do not live close enough to anyone else where someone else's network could be interfering. I went through this Xbox Live Streaming Problems | Fix Xbox Streaming Quality Issues
    and I don't believe any of these solutions address my issue. Thoughts?

    I've noticed this too but not just on netflix. It seems to be the same in YouTube and on twitch. Of course I haven't done any really looking into the issue but that's how it seems.

    I am noticing a distinct difference between the 360 and the One when streaming video using wireless. Specifically, Netflix on the 360 when streaming produced a high videlity/high quality image. on the One the image is pixelated and not HD. I am using the
    same network.

    I did not encounter any graphical issues with Darksiders 1 during my 2 and half playthroughs. If you're seeing it on videos it could be caused by the quality of the video or even the quality of the stream for it.

    My Internet is fast enough for HD video, but it always starts the video in SD and then takes about 10 seconds to switch to HD. It also depends where you stream from. If I watch YouTube, the videos are in 720p, but in Netflix, they are in 1080p.

    Hi, if I'm not mistaken you can set the streaming quality by signing into your Netflix account online and setting the streaming quality for every device you use to stream Netflix on but you can't set the quality per device.

    Sign into Netflix and go to your account profile and you'll see the option to set the Playback Settings there. You may though need to settle for a lower than HD quality as it appears that the highest setting covers both HD and 4K streaming.

    These are the available options

    Auto

    Default video quality and data usage.

    Low

    Basic video quality, up to 0.3GB per hour

    Medium

    Standard video quality, up to 0.7GB per hour

    High

    Best video quality, up to 3GB per hour for HD, 7GB per hour for Ultra HD

    That setting is per account, so any changes will affect only the account you make the changes on.

    I think the application will prompt this whenever the video buffer is used up. and I do hope the dev will let us choose our desired video stream quality instead of automatically determine a wrong video quality.
