Video recording and screenshotting randomly stops working on Xbox Series S

Hello SandraLazdina, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

It seems as though you've already done more than what we could have suggested off the top. When you did your reset did you use the app and bring over previous settings? If you did then go ahead and try again but this time don't use the app or bring over previous settings when prompted to do so.

Another thing you can try here would be to make sure that your current videos and screenshots are all uploaded to OneDrive then delete them all from the console. It is possible that you have no space and need to clear it.

Beyond that your console may need a repair if it's not functioning properly.

Samething happens to me, I always use an external hdd formatted for media with plenty of space to record my 4k videos but now it just stops randomly, it records 1080p without problems.

I have a problem with my Xbox elite series 2 controller. It works fine while playing any other game but when I play fortnite it randomly stops working while playing, none of the buttons work even when I plug it in it doesn’t work but out of nowhere it starts working again and it happens over and over again. When performing these steps the Game Bar will stop appearing when we press the Windows key + G.

Right click on the start menu button.

We enter "Settings" and "Gaming."

Select "Game Bar".

We deactivate the option "Record game videos, screenshots ...".
