Video Output Stops During Gameplay

Never had this problem before; whilst playing Destiny - on a regular basis - the video output from my XB1 just stops. The TV doesn't see any connection - just dead, e.g. no signal from the XB1. I can restart and it comes back - this is definitely a video
driver bug that it killing the game stream and this NEEDS to be FIXED,

Not that anyone will actually read this and do something about it - but in the software development community, when you rollout an upgrade - it should work for every game not just Halo - this feels like a "nasty" from Microsoft, go ahead, tell me I am wrong..

Xbox one updated, now cannot watch 3D blurays

I have this same problem on 4 separate Xbox one S consoles.

Try disabling 4K video output support from system settings. This returned all the consoles to being able to playback 3D bluray but only with 1080p set as video output. Once 4K is turned back on the 3D stops.

Controller stops recognizing headset during gameplay

Ive been having issues with my xbox remote not recognizing my turtle beach headset. It started the other day. I would be using the headset in a party chat, and occasionally the headset would "disconnect" from the controller, and i would hear the chat thru
my tv. Within a few seconds, the headset would work again. First suspicion was maybe a bad cable coming from the headset. Ive tested the headset on my cell phone headphone jack, and moved and wiggled the cored in many directions, no issues at all. As of recently,
the headset will "disconnect" within maybe 10 minutes of gameplay, and no matter how many times i plug it back in, the controller does not recognize it as being plugged in. The controller then completely froze, it wouldnt work with my xbox at all. I pulled
the batteries and put back in. Still not working. Normally when batteries are removed, the xbox displays a message saying controller has been disconnected. It did not do it this time. After shutting down my xbox and re powering, everything worked. I tried
Re syncing my controller too the xbox. Within 10 minutes, the headset stopped working. I pulled the batteries, ( didnt get a remote disconnected notification), put batteries back in, and the controller had no functionality. It turned on, but would not communicate
with the xbox at all. I am wondering if the issue is with my console or the controller. I do not want too go out and buy a new controller if that is not going to fix my issue. Any help is appreciated

 

Hey there. Is it only during Destiny that you're having this issue? If so, it could be a glitch with the game and I would contact Bungie to let them know.

You can additionally try holding the Xbox logo on the front of your console for 10 seconds until it shuts down, unplugging the power cord and HDMI cables from the consoles, and leaving it like that for 5 minutes. During this time, also unplug the HDMI cable
from your TV, and reseat it, just to make sure nothing has come loose. Plug it all back in, and try it again, If you're still running into this, I would then uninstall and reinstall the game.

 

I would also add to check the HDMI cable for any damage and both the HDMI port out to the TV and the HDMI port on your TV to see if there is any damage. Also if you have any other free HDMI ports on the TV plug it into them and see if the problem persists.

Also try to see if there is a build up of material (dust) on the cables ends and HDMI ports. There are several ways to clean HDMI cables and ports. Just look up how to clean them properly.
